Cruise to Cape Horn
and to the glaciers of the Beagle Channel

There are places where nature is talking to you... and Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia are undoubtedly such places:
the rush of waterfalls, the cracking of glaciers, the whistling of the wind from the howling fiftieths in the shrouds, the snow, sometimes hail, the breath of whales, the flight of the condor and of the royal albatross are there to remind you that the human species is just tolerated here, providing that we stay listening to this nature which is so much more than us. But don't worry: it's an area which we know very well.

We will set off to discover the famous SENOs of the Chilean chsnnels (sort of fjords), where glaciers flow into the sea with a dizzying crash: a world of waterfalls and mountains covered in eternal snow.
Our journey through the northwest and southwest Brazos of the BEAGLE channel will take us through anchorages of unparalleled beauty: the seno PIA with its three glaciers, Cinco Estrellas (the aptly named "Five Stars"), the COLOANE caleta with its two glaciers, the FOUQUE glacier, to mention the best known ones. Then we will sail to the Wollaston archipelago, near Cape Horn, passing this most famous cape, when weather conditions allow it.

We will be sailing during the day and at night we will be at anchor, with mooring lines attached to the trees on the bank (two at the rear and often one at the bow, in order to secure the boat in all conditions). A stay in a virgin and true nature, which you will experience without artifice and truly disconnected from the frenzy of today's world and which will remain engraved forever in your soul.
Observing the local fauna (penguins, sea lions, whales, albatrosses, condors, etc.) and flora (licchens, arboles banderas, etc.) will be your daily life.

How to join us at Puerto Williams
from Santiago de Chile
|
|
|
For the beginning of the cruise it is preferable to arrive to Puerto Williams one day before boarding, so as to allow us a detailed presentation of the boat as well as an accelerated training on anchoring with mooring lines tied on the trees on the bank. This will save us a lot of time by leaving earlier the next morning.
Likewise for your departure at the end of the cruise, it is preferable to plan it one day after our planned return to Puerto Williams, which gives us some leeway in the event of bad weather. The additional night can be spent on board (charged € 50) or at the hotel, at your convenience.
